1-15 Weekend Tournament

So who wants to have another tournament? I thought it would be good if we could set up the brackets/ time slots in advance so next time you don't have to be on all day. You can still watch all the games if you want, but only the people playing during the slot will have to be there. If you want to play drop your name here!

MAPS: 1v1 Map Pool
START TIME: 3PM Eastern Time. Specific game times will go up with the bracket on Saturday Morning

Im in for it, Can I recoment a cool map? its called GSl Aiur garden, its an old bw map that I think is pretty good, u guys can look into it more. It might favor Terran a little bit but its not as bad as delta quadrant.

I think we should stick to the 1v1 ladder maps for now, but we can check it out and use that in the tournament after this one.

On the subject of the tournament:
Match ups will be determined randomly.
Each series will be best 2 of 3.
The first map of the series will be chosen the way the dreamhack maps were chosen, out of a pool of the 1v1 ladder maps. 2 vote downs for each player, then 1 each. Subsequent maps will be chosen by the loser of the previous game.

thanks for the support jason, hopefully we make Team FSG proud. We will have to get the times to you asap the times won't probably come out til friday when the sign up date is due. But saturday for sure, if we have alot of people maybe a 2 day tourney

any time Luko, i love to see the group coming together mutually like this. I also like the discipline and no bad manners being tossed around (being a weak 1v1 player i really enjoy that lol). toss a post on the Force strategy forums and you should see big responses. i sent my e-mail to force i'm trying to get the tourny into the daily news for now.

Hey Jason! I am planning on scheduling the first round of games for 3 PM Eastern Time. I think that is noon pacific time for all you west coast people. If you want to get your first match later if youre on the east coast, send me a pm or post here and ill try to work that out.

Be sure to drop your b.net name and character code if you are new here! Also add everyone else around here on b.net. I should be getting a thread up where you just post your username and number so i can compile a directory for new members.

my new user name is grimmjow and CC is 820 feel free to add me, saturdays are days when my fiance and i can spend time together so the odds of me actually being able to participate are low lol. i'm not that great at the game anyway.

but feel free to add me i always bring a spark of fun to any game especially if you want someone who is well rounded with all 3 races .

ok force wants to get some info on the tournament and is probably going to mention it in community news.

i need a name of the tournament, maps involved, style of elimination (round robin etc.) and match types best of 3 5 7 etc.

Name of the tournament: Force Gaming Group Weekend Tournament #2

Maps: 1v1 Map pool, selected dreamhack style for first round, loser picks next map. (dreamhack style: players vote down maps till one is chosen, ensures a map that is very neutral for the first round, ex: no jungle basin in pvz first round)

Style of elimination/ match types: matches will be best of 3, best of 5 for finals.

Hopefully thats everything

EDIT: matchups will be random unless we get enough players to warrant separating the initial rounds by league.

We have angrywolf working at the graphic, I'm going to see what i can do as well but right now I'm kinda backed up with the program I'm writing to set up the brackets.

Im not sure if the graphic will be done in time :/ My copy of adbe illsutrator is outdated and I cant use it on this computer, ill see what I can do though.

Alright np, if it doesnt get done in time for this one theres always next time.
